The 1925 born B.B. King is considered one of the greatest guitarists of all time, along with other legends such as Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton. He was inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame in 1980 and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame seven years later. His albums won a total of 15 Grammy Awards, he received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and in 2006 he even received the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the highest civilian award in the United States. B.B. King died in 2015 at the age of almost 90, but his music and his influence on the entire history of music will keep the “Blues Boy” alive forever.
