• Artist Info: John Beatty is an internationally successful comic artist for DC and MARVEL. Unlike other comic artists, Beatty had to fight his way to the big publishers. For years he attended conventions and other public events where representatives of the major publishers were present and showed his work until he received an invitation from Jim Shooter to a try out work at MARVEL in New York in 1980. With a little help from Michael Zeck, Beatty was able to get the first big jobs for MARVEL and later also for DC. Over the years, his career took off and Beatty became an illustrator for major titles such as Captain America, Punisher, Superman, Batman, Justice League and Action Comics.
• Artist Info: After a short time at Charlton Comics, Michael Zeck started working for MARVEL in 1977. Along with writer Doug Moench, he created Master of Kung Fu, a work that was voted one of the “Top 10 Marvels of the 70s” by the representative comic web portal Comics Bulletin. Punisher, Spiderman, G.I. Joe – Michael Zeck has been an artist for many famous titles at MARVEL over the years, but has also worked for DC and designed covers for series such as Action Comics, Batman or Deathstroke.
