The big headline of the 2002/03 NBA season was arguably “Michael Jordan’s last dance” – it was the final season of the greatest player of all time, who attacked one last time for the Washington Wizards between 2001 and 2003. On April 16, 2003, the legend bid farewell to active basketball forever at the game in Philadelphia. It was also the first season since 1998/99 in which the Los Angeles Lakers did not reach the NBA Finals. The Spurs beat the New Jersey Nets in 6 games, Tim Duncan was Finals MVP.
