Legends like Kobe Bryant, Tim Duncan or Karl Malone played in the NBA. During a lockout, Michael Jordan announced the end of his active career for the second time, but he would return to the Washington Wizards for two more seasons. In the NBA Finals, the San Antonio Spurs with their “Twin Towers” Tim Duncan and David Robinson won against the New York Knicks, who were the first and only number 8 seed until 2023 to hardly reach the playoffs and make it to the finals afterwards.
