• Artist Info: Roy Thomas is one of the most famous comic book writers and editors ever around. He was the successor to the legendary Stan Lee as MARVEL’s editor-in-chief and has received numerous scene awards for brilliant comic works since the 1960s, primarily for books from the Conan the Barbarian universe. Thomas was already working with Stan Lee on Doctor Strange comics in the mid ’60s and worked on the world’s most popular superhero titles for almost 60 years. Over the years he has been the closest companion of MARVEL founder Stan Lee, whom he visited for the last time on November 10, 2018 at Lee’s house in Beverly Hills. Lee had some pictures taken with Roy Thomas that day and asked Thomas’ manager to take good care of Thomas (“Take care of my boy Roy”). The legend died less than 48 hours later.
