Sealed trading card box, original from 1995. Subject of these trading cards is the legendary video game “Mortal Kombat”. The fighting game quickly gained cult status because it not only featured sophisticated characters and rare fighting methods, but also a very detailed depiction of violence. Especially the legendary “Fatalities”, the finishing moves at the end of a successful fight, were an innovation that the video game world had never seen in this form before. Till today, the franchise has developed numerous follow-up games, as well as movies, comic books and many other media.
