Unopened pack of MLB Trading Cards, original from 1988. Legends like Bob Welch, Jack Morris and Roger Clemens played in the MLB and the Los Angeles Dodgers won the World Series against the Oakland Athletics at the end of the season. Legendary was the moment when Dodgers outfielder Kirk Gibson, injured in both legs, unexpectedly picked up his bat and hobbled to base to bat in the ninth inning of Game 1 of the World Series. Although he could barely stand, moments later he slammed the ball into the Los Angeles night sky and the Dodgers won the opening game through this pinch hitter walk off. These Trading Cards were brought onto the market by the Topps company and are officially licensed by the MLB. For more information see below.
